19 Days!

There's only 19 days left until delivery day. Cheryl is looking great, as you can see here. Just before this picture, she was kicking (or punching) up a storm. Take a look. You can see Cheryl's belly moving!

Pictures of Us

So this past Sunday we planned on having some pictures taken. The weather was supposed to be crappy, but it turned out to be really nice, although a little cold. We went to Penn's campus with a few baby items. Here are just a couple of the pictures: I couldn't believe how quickly we got them back. You can see the rest of the pictures at Maternity: Cheryl & Michael . They were taken by Shannon Collins and I would highly recommend you take a look at her website and blog . She does excellent work. We can't wait to have her over to take some pictures of the baby.

Baby Party

Last night we had our baby shower at the Ukrainian League of Philadelphia. The number of people who showed up was only outdone by the amount of gifts we received. The generosity of our family and friends is overwhelming. We couldn't be happier to have all of you in our lives. Thank you all so much for everything. The cake was beautiful. Not only did it look good, but it but it was delicious. My favorite part was the deer wearing roller skates.

An Early Birthday

Our daughter's due date was supposed to be March 21st. Since she was conceived, her mother had been telling her that she should try to come a week early. Surprisingly, it seems that she listened because a c-section is scheduled for March 15th. This changes the days left from 42 to 36!

Happiest Baby Class

Tonight we attended our second class at Pennsylvania Hospital. It was called Happiest Baby on the Block and focused on how to soothe a crying baby. Hopefully we won't have to use this knowledge, but, if we do, hopefully it'll work. One of the things we learned was how to properly swaddle a baby. We practiced on dolls in class; however, Cheryl wanted to make sure she had the technique down properly. When we got home, she pulled out an extra sheet and did a pretty good job swaddling a very large baby.
