Honey I Shrunk Myself

It is difficult for me to fine a way to properly introduce this video. Imagine if you will that you have been shrunk down to the size of a cell phone. While miniaturized, you were trapped in a location that left within Zoe's reach. This is what you might see before you were thrown to your ultimate doom. Be warned, if you are prone to motion sickness, this video probably isn't for you. Crazy, right? They should introduce this as a new ride at Universal Studios.

Memorial Day

We had a nice, relaxing weekend during the holiday. Today we drove up to my cousin's house for her graduation party. Zoe got to walk around in a nice big back yard. It was the first time she's been barefoot in the grass. She didn't really want to smile for the camera, but she really did enjoy herself. The pool was too cold for a swim, but that didn't stop Zoe from dipping her feet and splashing around a bit. You can take a look at Zoe's set on Flickr to see more pictures.

Earning Her Keep

Just because Zoe is a baby, doesn't mean that she gets out of helping out around the house. Yes, as she constantly reminds me, she is the cutest one and that is a full time job, but we need some practical help. Thankfully, she has learned how to feed the cat. Now the cat just needs to learn how to open up her packets of food and we're all set.

Those Golden Arches

On Saturday, my parents came down to help out with some work around the house and with Zoe. Since she was over a year old and had yet to experience the magic of McDonald's, Cheryl picked up lunch from there. Zoe didn't seem to enjoy the burger all that much, but as we already knew, she loved the fries, especially with ketchup. As you'll notice, fry with ketchup on it goes in, fry without ketchup comes out. On Sunday we decided to take Zoe out for a walk with her wagon while she was wearing her new sneakers. This is what she thought of her new sneakers. In case you can't tell, she wasn't a fan, but she looked super cute in those pink pants. Once she was in the wagon, she was good to go. She really enjoys the ride. As always, you can check out Zoe's set on Flickr to see all of these pictures and more.

Look Who's Walking

Earlier this week, Zoe started to walk on her own. Ever since those first few steps, she has improved immensely, which has been amazing to watch. Pictures don't really capture this, so I put together a brief montage of videos. Enjoy. There will be a lot more of these in the future.

Sunny Day, Sweeping the Clouds Away

Annie and Annabelle have been back for almost a week now. To make sure we could spend some quality time together, we decided to all go to Sesame Place. Both Annabelle and Zoe are big Elmo fans, so I assumed this would be all right with both of them. We started off the day bright and early and arrived just as the park was opening. Both girls were excited to be there. We made our way in and the first thing we tried out was Ernie's Bed Bounce. Zoe didn't seem to want to go out onto to it. After some coaxing, Annabelle seemed to enjoy it, but didn't do much in the way of bouncing. After that, we went to Big Bird's nest where Zoe was having some fun with the large blocks. By this time, breakfast had worn off, so we stopped in Elmo's Eatery to get some lunch. Zoe was really good at sharing and Annabelle showed us the proper way to eat a grill cheese and french fries. Once we finished eating, it was time to check out the Elmo Rocks Concert. If you have a

Mommy or Daddy?

While looking at old photos of Cheryl and me, we came across some where it was fairly clear to see where Zoe got her looks from; however, I'll leave it up to you to decide which one of us most resembled Zoe. You can start with Cheryl. Now I know that they have similar hair and they both drove the same car, but don't count me out just yet. Take a look. Did you see the one where it looks like I'm wearing a yellow dress? Now, I'm not sure what's up with that, but doesn't it look like Zoe and that very strangely dressed boy could be twins? And that last picture doesn't look anything like Zoe. That was just me when I was practicing to be a doctor by giving Ernie a routine checkup... he didn't make it.
