The Booties Were Made For Walkin'

So I have a few videos to post today. The first one is older, most likely from last weekend. Zoe loves the stacking cups that she got for Christmas. What she likes most is to have me stack them up and then knock them down; however, she took a moment to appreciate the building before grabbing at it. The next three videos were all from tonight. Zoe has been shuffling along the edge of the couch and the window seat in her playroom for a while now. She has a couple of toys that would help her to walk, but if she used them on her own, they would go to fast and she'd fall on her face. Tonight I lent a hand to keep the forward momentum to a minimum so that she could get moving. Take a look. Of course The Muppets was playing on the television and, being my daughter, she couldn't help but watch. Her legs were a little stiff, reminiscent of Frankenstein's monster, but I think she's getting the hang of it. I'm sure it won't be long before I'm posting pi

Saturday Shots

This weekend we didn't have any plans. Early in the day, when the light was really good in the play room, I took some pictures of Zoe playing with some of her toys. Most of them were kind of goofy, but those are the pictures I like best. We didn't get any pictures of it, but Zoe had her closest encounter with Tinkerbell, the ornery old cat, this weekend. While getting close enough to pet her, Zoe grabbed a fistful of fur and gave a tug. Surprisingly, the cat didn't swat and just left the room. Needless to say, Zoe only has supervised petting privileges now. As always, Zoe's set on Flickr has all of these pictures and more. Be sure to take a look.

Three Day Weekend

Cheryl and I both had off this past Monday, so we had an extra day to spend with Zoe. On Sunday, the only thing we did was head over the to Deptford Mall to swap out the shoes I got Zoe for Christmas that didn't fit. Before we went out, Zoe was kind enough to pose for some pictures in her play room. Here's what we got. On Monday we packed into the car and headed up to visit with the old folks. Joe Pop wasn't around, but Mimi was happy to entertain us. Zoe really seemed to like the animals (not really) but at least she didn't tear out any fur. She also looked pretty good in the saddle. Well, that was our long weekend. Be sure to check out Zoe's set on Flickr for these, as well as a ton more photos.

Stand In The Place Where You Play, Now Face West

Cheryl and I have been telling one another that we'll take more video, but most times that we try, as soon as the camera comes out, Zoe isn't having it. Well the other day I was able to set up the camera off to the side and actually record some interactions between the two of us. The footage is a bit out of focus, so I have to work on that, but I think the result is pretty awesome. Today we wanted to take some pictures to document Zoe's growth, since her 10 month birthday was just this past week. She loves standing all around her playroom, especially next to the shelves that have all of her books and toys. Here's what we got. After that we packed up the car and went up to visit the Strout's. It had been a long time since we had seen them and it was a very lovely visit. I can't wait to get back to see them again soon. You know you can check out Zoe's set on Flickr to see all of these pictures and more; however, did you know that there is a Zoe Mo

10 Months Old

This past Saturday the three of us took a walk down to Baltimore Avenue to visit the open play at the Green Tambourine. There Zoe played with some instruments and had a good time, as she usually does when music is involved. I didn't have my camera, but I brought my phone and took a few pictures. Today Zoe turned 10 months old. What did we do for the occasion you ask? Why, we woke her up early in the morning to take her to have blood drawn. What else would we do? I was able to take a short video (again with my phone). In it, she appears to say "mama," which wouldn't surprise me. She really does love her mama. When I got home this evening, I heard all about how Zoe is walking while holding onto the edge of the couch and the bench in her playroom. I tried to get her to walk for me, but I wasn't very successful. I took some video of the few steps I was able to capture. So that was Zoe's 10 month birthday. She proved while getting her blood wo

Cutie Patootie

Zoe had a really bad night last night and just kept waking up. We're not sure if her stomach was bothering her or maybe she's just teething again, but Cheryl stayed up and rocked her for most of the night, so she was pretty tired today. She ran out to do some errands while Zoe was napping and, thankfully, Zoe woke up early. That gave me a chance to take come cute pictures to help brighten Cheryl's day. I think they turned out pretty cute, although I'm sure Zoe will hate me just a little bit more when she's older for some of these. I'll take my chances. Super cute! Zoe has also been standing up all the time now and is even cautiously moving along things, like the couch. Just tonight she grabbed onto my jeans and pulled herself up to standing. Anyway, after the butt shots I put some clothes on the baby and she was standing next to her three legged, 80's dance music ball machine. I honestly don't know what it's called, but it does play some real

Christmas in January

If you had a chance to see the vast amount of presents that Zoe received for the holidays, then you'll know it was quite a lot. She had some much that Cheryl and I waited until today to let her open the rest of the gifts we got her. We took a few pictures and, yet again, she was more interested in the paper than the presents. There were only a few left, but she seemed to enjoy them as much as her other gifts. Don't forget to check out Zoe's se t on Flickr to see all of these pictures, and more.

Splish Splash

Every night, well, mostly every night, either Cheryl or myself or both of us will give Zoe a bath. It has been much better since she started sitting up, but now that she's standing, she's quite a slippery devil to try and keep in the water. Also, she just recently found out that there is a plug at the bottom of her tub and she loves to continually pull it out until we're forced to take her out because there's no water left. Well, the other day she was just happy and splashing about, so I took a short video. She really does love to be in the tub. I'm hoping that her love of water will transition to a love of swimming. I can't wait to take her in a pool.

Happy New Year!

Today is the first day of 2013, which means it's time for some Mummery. We got up early this morning so that we could make it down to the Vaudevillians NYB meet up location on the corner of Broad and Wharton by 8:30am. From there, we set out up Broad Street to City Hall. Along the way Zoe fell asleep in her carrier. I don't have any video to share at this point, but here are some pictures from the day. It was awesome! As always, you can find all of these pictures, and more in Zoe's set on Flickr. You can also take a look at the Mummery set to see some of the other folks in the group.
