That's Our Zoe

So there are a number of fun and entertaining things that Zoe does now which, no matter how many times she does them, they always make us laugh. In adding to her repertoire, the other day when we were eating lunch at Wendy's (referred to as the "fry fry house") she was relaying a story to me about eating there with Cheryl. She told me that Cheryl said she didn't eat two chicken nuggets. Now, this in and of itself was not funny. What was funny was that when she told the story, she raised the pitch of her voice when she was quoting mommy. I asked her to say it again, which she did and while I was laughing at this, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I caught a little bit of this, but it is sad because it's not as good as the original delivery. I can't wait to hear her do this more. I'm also not sure where she got this from because I don't recall doing that in front of her, so maybe she got that from Joe Pop. Who knows. Speaking of Joe Pop

We're Off To See The Lizard

About a week ago I ordered a copy of The Wizard of Oz on DVD. After the Mummer's Parade where Zoe made two great new friends out of the flying monkeys, I thought it would be a good idea to show here where they came from. She patiently sat through the whole thing and enjoyed the music and the characters. In the few days we've owned the movies, she's probably watched it over a dozen times. Around the third or fourth watching we had a conversation about how to pronounce the title of the movie. The back and forth went something like this: Zoe: We're watching the Lizard of Oz. Me: No sweetheart, it's a W. It's the Wizard of Oz. Zoe: No. The Lizard of Oz. Me: It's a W peanut. Wa-Wa-Wa-Wizard of Oz. Zoe: Wa-Wa-Wa-Lizard of Oz. Me: *shakes his head* She has gotten in to this habit, when she's feeling silly, to call things by there wrong name. After I pick her up and we're waiting for Cheryl to get out of the office, she'll say as every strange

Happy New Year 2015

This year we were on board for the Mummer's Parade. We missed last year's parade, so we were super excited to take part in it this year. With the theme of our troop being the Phunbearable Phlightness of Being, which pretty much meant all things that fly, we decided that our costumes would be dragons. Cheryl put in a ton of work to get our costumes started and we both worked to add the detail to finish them off. Overall, I say the three of us looked pretty damn good. Sweatsuits from Walmart never looked so good. Thankfully they were really warm because not only was it cold on New Year's Day, but it was really windy too. Also, after we arrived, we didn't start marching for hours. Luckily there was a building where the folks manning the lobby were happy to let us stay inside and keep warm. While we were waiting for the parade to get started, Zoe was busy making friends. She found two girls in our troupe who were dressed as flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz a
