Hanging with G4

Okay, so I lied and I am totally back dating this post. So even though I am not posting it online until late September, I am back dating it to the time in which it occurred, which was the end of August. Yesterday Zoe and I took a ride out to the Miller residence so that Zoe and G4 could hang out together. There were lots of new toys for her to play with and she was sure to make use of all of them. Just check out this Philadelphia Phillies/Batman/Grim Reaper/Gardener cosplay she has going on here. She really took things to another level. Then, both G4 and Zoe wanted to ride on one of his bike/scooter contraptions. Poor George (aka G3) had to push them up and down the driveway, but it was certainly worth the effort. Once we were done playing at the house,we decided that the kids might like to run around on the baseball field. It was a short walk over, especially since we put them in strollers, and they quickly took to the field. Along with a baseball diamond, there was also

Sea Isle City - Take 2

We went down to Sea Isle for our second week of vacation and it was just as good as the first one, but it didn't start off that well. In order to get an early start to the week, we drove down on Sunday afternoon. Arriving while the sun was still up, I decided to take Zoe to the beach with her new kite. One thing lead to another and I was standing in the ocean, up to my knees, holding Zoe in a diaper in one hand and her kite and clothes in the other. In this vulnerable position she reached up, snatched my glasses from my face and threw them in to the ocean. After much crying and pouting, the next morning I got an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. After all of that, we had a great time playing at the park. It's great to have such a nice playground just a few blocks from the house. While she loves climbing up the little rock wall and sliding down the slides, her favorite, by far, is the swings, which she likes to ride both regular and silly style. Shoobie's, which

Breakfast with Joe Pop

This Sunday morning, Zoe, Hank and Lilly all met up at the Great American Diner for breakfast. I'm not sure what sort of magical power Joe Pop has, but when he asked Zoe to pose for a few pictures, she actually did! It was one of the more amazing things I have seen recently. The kids looked super cute sitting on the steps. Not only were they cute taking pictures, but they were so well behaved during the meal. Now if I could just get Zoe to eat a wider variety of food, that would solve everything! Of course, by solve everything I mean, give her a wider variety of food to say she doesn't want to eat.

Sea Isle City - Take 1

Cheryl and I took two weeks of vacation this year, not back to back, and are spending both of them down in Sea Isle City. Gigi has a house down by the beach and since it was one of the places I vacationed as a child, I am super excited to share that with Zoe. The first thing we did when we got there was go to the beach. Zoe really enjoyed the water initially, which was great because it was warm, but got a little skittish over the week. When you are trying to cool off at the beach, there are no shortage of treats available. Zoe made sure to find these soon. She had a Sponge Bob pop and ice cream, among others. Zoe was also super cute digging in the sand. She won the prize for Diaper Most Likely to Sag Right Off Your Keister. We took one day to drive down to the Cape May County Zoo. It is a free zoo with a lot of nice space and some great animals. Zoe wasn't too happy to pose for many pictures, but we did snap a few. We also took a day to drive down to
