Giving Thanks

This year, as with every year that I can remember, we attended Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' house. Like last year, all three cousins were together and, just like last year, they barely sat next to one another long enough to take a picture. Here are a few that I was able to take that night. I'm thankful that we were all able to get together again for another year. It's amazing to see how much each of the kids has grown. The other interesting thing is to see what things they excel at. While Zoe is not the best eater, her cousins seem to have that down to a science. They're also much better at having hair that isn't crazy and not kissing the dogs on the mouth. Regardless, they're all amazing and it is a treat to see them interacting with one another. I hope they will always be close as they grow older.

Curious George

Having watched all episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba about 4 billion times each, I had decided to try and get something else for Zoe to watch while we took longer trips in the car. I purchased the animated Curious George movie and it seemed like Zoe was all right with it. Having watched it about 3 times a day now, it has rapidly become a household name. Zoe will point to the television and go "ooo ooo", making her monkey noise to let you know she wants to watch George. Here she is reading with George and Cheryl. It's really super cute. Thankfully she also seems to like Finding Nemo and Up, so we get a break from George every once and again. A while ago the pea and I took a trip to the Please Touch Museum where I shot some video of her. She always heads right to the water area, which inevitably gets her soaked. Thankfully this last time she avoided getting too wet and, instead, stumbled upon a nice piano. I think she's a natural. It's probably a bit too early fo

Such An Angel... Sometimes

There's no doubt about it, Zoe is a good kid. No, seriously. I know I joke about a lot of stuff, and believe me, she can throw a tantrum with the worst of them, but overall Zoe is really sweet, well behaved and listens when you ask her to do something. I took her to a music class not so long ago and she just looked really cute while we waited for the studio to open. She sat and waited so patiently and then went crazy on the drums. The other night I'm not sure what got in to her, but she was just acting crazy in her playroom. I was able to capture a few good moments on video. See for yourself. She can also be super silly, which I find incredibly fun. The other night when I was putting her down for bed, she was laying on the changing table when she put her fingers in her ears and just started to laugh. It was so bizarre that I started to laugh too, which got her going again. That went on for a couple minutes before I actually put her in her crib. Inevitably, with t

A Little Under The Weather

It seems like Zoe has been sick for a while now, but not even a pervasive illness can keep her down. Even during Halloween when she wasn't feeling well she made sure to take care of herself by eating right. Here she is chowing down on a juicy pear, her new favorite fruit. She just really enjoys them. Another thing she has been eating really well is cereal. She has gotten really good with using her spoon and now gets more food in her mouth than on the floor. Just take a look. Now that was a huge scoop of cereal on such a little spoon. I'm not sure how she did it, but it is obvious she's my daughter and I couldn't be more proud. The other day I stayed home with her because she wasn't feeling well. We had recently received a few deliveries, so I took one of the boxes and made her a castle. She seemed to enjoy it. I can't wait until I can get her a bigger box. Then she'll really have something fun to play in, along with room to move.

Trick Or Treat

Halloween leapt upon us again this year, seemingly out of nowhere. One minute it's September and we're talking about our costume and the next we're leaving to go to the Halloween parade. Cheryl was a spider with spooky red web, I was a praying mantis and Zoe was a very cute Foofa. If you don't know who that is, you can find out at the Yo Gabba Gabba website . The only thing that's important is that she's pink and happy. But let's be honest, you don't care what I have to say, you just want to see her. Well, here she is. Needless to say, she was super cute even though she was still a bit under the weather. She ate her fair share of candy and ice pops too. Check out Zoe's set on Flickr for even more pictures.
