G4 Turns 2

We were luck enough to be invited to G4's second birthday, which was a pool party. It's a gamble to take a phone near water, but Zoe and George were floating together in such a cute way that I just had to snap a few pictures. You tell me if it was worth it. It is hard to get Zoe to stay still long enough to take a nice picture, so I was happy these few pictures. Also, the Miller's don't live very far from us, so hopefully we will get to spend more time with them in the future.

A Visit from Nana and Poppy

Last night Zoe said goodbye to Nana and Poppy since they would be leaving before she woke up, assuming she sleeps that late. After I got back on Friday morning, the plan was to head down to Johnson's Farm for a little while. As we were loading in to the car, someone hit the open driver's side door and put an end to those plans; however, later that morning we were on the porch and took some pictures. When Zoe was finished with her afternoon nap, we loaded in to the rental car and went up to spend some time at Tyler State Park. The drive up took a lot longer than it should have, but it was definitely worth the trip. Zoe really enjoyed the creek as well as the playground. We eventually made it to the farm. Of course Zoe being the expert planner that she is decided it would be best to skip her nap until we arrived at the farm. That worked out to our advantage because she was very happy to eat and play while there. That last picture is Zoe demonstrating ho

After July 4th at Mimi and Joe Pop's

On the fifth of July we made our way up to Mimi and Joe Pop's house to hang out for a little while. Since we weren't able to see them on the holiday, we came up to have some grilled meats and play in the backyard. Lilly was visiting as well, so her and Zoe were able to have some fun wading in the pool, running through the sprinkler and just hanging out. At one point, Zoe and I were doing what she would request as, "More again boing-ing!" This consists of holding her by the hands and then bouncing her on the giant ball as she boings up in to the air. It is one of her favorite backyard activities. Once all of their energy was spent, the two kids decided it might be nice to sit down together and read. They did this completely unprompted; however, as soon as I came along with my camera, the reading quickly stopped. They both seemed to have a really good time. Hopefully Lilly can show Zoe how to eat a wider variety of foods, like burgers and hot dogs. Be

Just One Day Away

Yesterday I took a late flight out to Seattle. I will be spending the next 3 days with the Carusos before I head to a work conference. This morning I woke up to greet Annabelle and Baby John. We had a really fun day going to the pool, playing games and just hanging around the house. Here are a few pictures I took. I was able to take a short video of Baby John and I playing catch. He was eager to play, I just wish he was happy. While I was of spending time with the Caruso family, Cheryl and Zoe were at home having some fun of their own. They went to Johnson's Family Farm and had a good day picking blueberries, feeding animals corn (and eating some of their own) and having ice cream while laying down. Zoe woke up last night, so I'm hoping that she sleeps through tonight, and the rest of the nights I'm away. It was nice to see them over Skype, even if Zoe wanted to "play ABCD on the pequekey." It's also great to be out in Seattle to visit with

Bored on the Fourth of July

The weather was cold and overcast this morning, threatening to rain, so we stayed at home. Later in the morning Cheryl took Zoe out food shopping, just to get her out of the house for a little while. When she got up from her nap, we decided to take her across the river to the aquarium. As always, she loved the fish, sharks, jellyfish and rays. On top of that, the hippos were finally back, which she was very excited to see. It was a lot of fun and, had we known the weather would be as nice as it was, we would have gone to the zoo. Sitting here now, watching some tv, listening to the fireworks go off outside, I'm glad I got to spend the day with my two favorite ladies. Zoe's Mobile Flick album has all of these pictures, and more. Be sure to check it out.
