Our Little Lebowski

This Saturday we were all invited to attend Jake's 10th Birthday at a local bowling alley. Zoe had never been bowling before, but it seemed like a fun place that she would enjoy. Of course, she didn't nap before the party and fell asleep in the car as we pulled in to the parking lot. Once she got a taste for it, Zoe loved using the ramp to send the ball down the alley. She also loved the cake. And here's a little video. The orange balls Zoe was bowling with were 7 pounders, but the red one, as I state in the video, was a 10 pounder. I don't know if that's normal, but I constantly get the impression that Zoe is freaky strong.

Birthday in Florida

Cheryl and I took a week off to take Zoe down to Florida to visit Nana and Poppy for her birthday. We flew in to Orlando on Wednesday and spent two days in Disney World. I'm not sure that Zoe noticed where we were, but she had a good time. The place we stayed had two bedrooms and a small kitchen. The first day we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was probably a bit too cold to wear shorts, but I was just super happy that it wasn't snowing and the temperature was in double digits. Zoe's favorite things were the random ducks, the ropes that guided folks through the lines and throwing mommy's money in to the fountain. And, just like the Mummer's parade the year before, she fell asleep during the Magic Kingdom parade. On the second day we went to the Animal Kingdom park, which was probably a mistake. There was a musical version of Finding Nemo, which Zoe actually made it all the way through. Then there were some animals and a parade, which Zoe also fell

Zoe Turns 2!

Because we are heading down to Florida for Zoe's actual birth day, we had her party the weekend before. Cheryl came up with a great idea to have all of the kids make their own stuffed animals, which went over very well. Zoe actually wore a dress, which is a rarity for her. Everyone had a great time and there were lots of kids playing and running all over the place. Here just a few pictures of them. Later in the day it was time for cake. Cheryl had got a bunch of cupcakes and Zoe did a great job of blowing out her candles. The bar has been set pretty high for the rest of her birthday's. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going the way that Zoe lead Julia around the house. Be sure to check out all of the other pictures in Zoe's set on Flickr.
