Happy Easter

Just before her first birthday, Cheryl took Zoe out for a surprise trip. Later, I found out that she had pictures taken with a live bunny. Being very Easter appropriate, here are the pictures that were taken at that shoot. Between the outfit, the headband and the poses, I still can't pick a favorite because I love them all. She is just super cute. Don't forget to look at Zoe's set on Flickr for these pictures and more.

Climing Around

It is truly amazing to see just how quickly Zoe is developing. As an example, she recently has been wanting to climb up on everything. In doing this, Cheryl and I have made sure that we get her to climb back down by laying on her stomach and swinging down to her legs. When I got home the other day, Zoe demonstrated how she had already learned how to get up and back down all by herself. Check it out for yourself. I'm still amazed when I watch this. I can't wait to see what she's going to do next.

Video Time

I apologize to those of you who read this on a regular basis because I have been seriously slacking in my blog posting duties. Hopefully I'll get on track and have more regular updates, but enough about me and my inability to update. You may not know this, but Zoe has been rapidly developing. With the use of her stroller, she walks really well, she is climbing onto everything and she is talking up a storm. I have been trying to capture Zoe in action a little more, so here are some of the tidbits I caught recently. First up, Zoe was a little gassy at dinner. She wouldn't perform for the camera, but she did talk to her mom about it. We tried to put her down for a nap the other day, and she just wasn't having it. You'd think that we put catnip in her monkey. Even in Clark Park, with the chilly March winds blowing, Zoe is happy to push her baby around for some fresh air. She made need to take a break, but she really loves to move. One thing Zoe's Mimi s

Party Time!

Since Zoe's birthday was on a Friday, we decided to have her actual party on the following Saturday to make sure as many folks could come. Similar to her baby shower, the turnout, generosity and love that was shown by friends and family was overwhelming. Here are some pictures from the party. It was exciting that there were 6 babies in attendance, all 1 year old or younger. Seeing how they interact with one another is always so awesome. Zoe was excited to spend her day with all of her family and friends. It was even great for her to hang out with our friends for her big day. She loves the big kids too. I'm trying to find the proper words to say thank you to everyone for everything they did, but, unfortunately, I'm better at taking pictures than writing. So, for everyone who showed up, helped out, sent a card or in some way wished Zoe a happy birthday, thank you. It was an amazing day because of your love and support. We will be hard pressed to top thi

One Year Old

Today Zoe turned one year old today and both Cheryl and I took the day off from work to celebrate with her. We decided to go to the zoo with Reilly and Issac. It was a little cold, and we didn't see many animals, but the membership we used to get in allowed us access to the Tree House. This is probably the best part of the zoo and I cannot wait to take her back there. Here are some pictures. After the zoo, we took a quick walk to Clark Park to play on the playground. Issac and Zoe both had a great time. Zoe seemed to enjoy the slide more than Issac, but she was also a little more stuffed up. Overall, it was a great first birthday. We need to prep tonight for the big party tomorrow. I can't wait to see Zoe eat her cupcake!

Boy Trouble

Zoe has had a cold for almost a week now, and it looked like she was getting better, but last night, after dinner, she threw up all over Cheryl. I'll spare you the details, but thankfully they were very close to the bathroom and we were able to get Zoe right into the tub. Even though she was not feeling her best, Zoe always makes sure that Isaac knows just how much he means to her. She was giving him a little love the other day, and I was able to capture a few seconds of that. Enjoy the show. I need to take a day to just camp out with a hidden camera to try and catch more of the action. Apparently Zoe will kiss Isaac quite a bit during the day. It really doesn't help that she seems totally fine pushing around her baby stroller. What is a father to do?
