Please Touch Outing

For Christmas and her birthday Zoe received a gift certificate and a membership to the Please Touch Museum . We weren't sure how many exhibits there would be accessible to her at such a young age, but this Sunday we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did because it is a remarkable place with lots of stuff for her to do and, more importantly, lots of enclosed, safe space for her to crawl around in. Take a look at some of the pictures. First up was the splash pool. It was a little too tall for her to really reach the water, but that's probably not the worst thing. Now, you can see her here holding a red boat, but that was short lived. Every time she grabbed something new, a boat, a duck, whatever, she passed it off to the child closest to her. While we are thrilled that Zoe shares so well, I think this concept was somewhat foreign to the other kids as they just looked at her funny. There were a lot of slides throughout the museum. She loved all of them equal

No Peeing In The Pool

Even though Zoe and Issac hang out every week day, we don't really have that many pictures of the two of them together. When Cheryl got home yesterday, she grabbed the camera and helped to resolve that problem. This is what she got. Now, I will fully admit that all of these pictures are cute; however, these next two just kill me with how over the top adorable they are. You can tell me if I'm wrong, but I probably won't listen. Her arm is around his shoulder! Along with that, there are times when Zoe feels that Issac should be clapping, even if he doesn't know it. So, like a good friend, she helps to show him how it's done. Take a look. At least she makes it up to him with a kiss and a picnic basket. That will usually smooth over any problem. The big news from today is that Zoe started her swim lessons with me at the local YMCA. The classes are from 9:00am to 9:30am on Saturday mornings, which is pretty perfect timing wise. We already knew she lov

Happy Birthday To Me

So today was my birthday, and thanks to everyone who wished me well. It was a great day with my two gorgeous gals. We packed up early and went up to Red Bank for the day to see the sights. Along with a visit to a comic book store and a vintage arcade, I also had my first old world shave. But enough about me, you're here for Zoe. She had a wonderful time too. There was a nice park with plenty of stairs for her to climb. Every time we're near a swing set, I try to put Zoe in it. Currently, she is not a fan of the swing and the nice blue swing at the park in Red Bank was no exception. She is such a daredevil in all other cases, I find it funny that she really hates this. I've even tried with her on my lap with the same results. Thankfully, she's not one to hold a grudge and she was happy again once we had lunch. On a non-birthday note, recently Zoe has been drawn to her pack and play. It has been set up in the playroom for Issac, and she requests, through out

Climbing the Mountain

Every day it becomes more and more obvious to me that Zoe is most likely part spider monkey. She climbs all over the place including, but not limited to, the couch, the bench, playground slides and "the mountain." What is the mountain you ask? Well, the mountain is created by removing both cushions from the back of the couch, stacking them on top of one another and then draping a gym mat over them. This creates and relatively safe indoor slide, which Zoe loves. Just take a look. Something else Zoe has recently discovered is that her tongue does not need to be confined to the inside of her mouth. She had her tongue hanging out of her face for a good long while today and these pictures help to illustrate that fact. This behavior was not limited to inside the house. When we got to the playground in the afternoon, she was up to the same thing again. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe she's using it like a snake to sense changes in the weather? Or maybe
