Cutie Patootie

Zoe had a really bad night last night and just kept waking up. We're not sure if her stomach was bothering her or maybe she's just teething again, but Cheryl stayed up and rocked her for most of the night, so she was pretty tired today. She ran out to do some errands while Zoe was napping and, thankfully, Zoe woke up early. That gave me a chance to take come cute pictures to help brighten Cheryl's day. I think they turned out pretty cute, although I'm sure Zoe will hate me just a little bit more when she's older for some of these. I'll take my chances.

Super cute! Zoe has also been standing up all the time now and is even cautiously moving along things, like the couch. Just tonight she grabbed onto my jeans and pulled herself up to standing. Anyway, after the butt shots I put some clothes on the baby and she was standing next to her three legged, 80's dance music ball machine. I honestly don't know what it's called, but it does play some really sweet tunes. I captured a little of her just hanging out.

After the pictures, I took some video. She really does like that thing.

I'm sure it will be any day now that she's walking, which is just unbelievable. Thankfully I was able to finish putting all of the baby proofing in the kitchen today. Zoe's set on Flickr has all of the pictures above, plus more. Don't forget to take a look.

Election Day

When Zoe was born, Barack Obama was the president. Today the country is voting to determine who will be president for the next four years. It will still be a long time before Zoe gets to cast her own vote, but when Cheryl got home today, the two of them went around the corner to our voting center and did their civic duty. Cheryl took a couple of pictures. The girls are asleep now, and the race is still too close to call, but I assume when we get up tomorrow (hopefully not in the middle of the night) we'll know who who won. I hope everyone got out to vote today! As you can see by her sticker, Zoe did.

Riding Together for the First Time

Today my bike was finally fixed, so I picked it up from the shop before picking Zoe up from Science Club. When she saw my bike she was very excited to go for a ride. It was overcast all day, but the weather held out and it was a beautiful evening, so we rushed home, she finished all her homework, and I loaded her bike onto the car. I packed a bag with some water and a couple snacks and we made our way to Lorimer Park. Before we took off down the trail, I wanted to take a selfie, but I was so excited that I forgot my helmet, so there are two selfies. As soon as I finished the picture she took off down the path. Fortunately I was able to catch up, phone in hand, to take a few pictures as we cruised down the trail. I am a mostly competent bike rider, but trying to pay attention to her, and the trail, and keep myself upright while holding my phone was tricky. So, I decided to take some video where, for the most part, I could rest my hand on the handlebars. She is so good a...

Baby Shower

Today the family was headed to George and Amanda's baby shower. Before we even got ready, I was playing with Zoe in bed. She was just sitting on my stomach, staring at her feet and drooling. Here are a few pictures. After play time, we had to get ready to head out. Zoe wore a nice dress, even if it was a little big on her. I took a picture of her in it before we left, then a bunch more of her while we were outside. Take a look and Zoe and Cheryl together. They're so cute! Those two are so gorgeous on their own that they become simply stunning when put together. I just can't get enough. Anyway, if you take a look at all of these, and more, in Zoe's set on Flickr, you can see all of the detail in the drool. It's really quite amazing.
