First Father's Day

I want to thank everyone for their Happy Father's Day wishes this weekend. It was really a great day.

So as I mentioned last time, Zoe turned 3 months old. Cheryl and I have been putting together pictures to highlight some of the changes that have happened over the months. Here's the latest one.

The family went up to Bensalem to my uncle's house to hang out. My parents and brothers were there. Andy held Zoe for the first time and, as I assumed she would, she spit up all over him. Zoe also got to spend some time with Joe Pop. Here are some pictures.

You might notice that in all of these pictures, Zoe is facing away from Joe Pop. That's because every time he would face her, after about 13 seconds, she would start to cry. I wonder if it's the mustache?

When we got home, Cheryl insisted to take some pictures of Zoe and I on my first Father's Day. Here's a couple of those.

You can find all of these, and more, in Zoe's set on Flickr.

One last bit of exciting news, Riley went into the hospital yesterday afternoon and should be having her baby any time now. As soon as she does, Zoe will have her first cousin. I know she's super excited and can't wait to visit.

Election Day

When Zoe was born, Barack Obama was the president. Today the country is voting to determine who will be president for the next four years. It will still be a long time before Zoe gets to cast her own vote, but when Cheryl got home today, the two of them went around the corner to our voting center and did their civic duty. Cheryl took a couple of pictures. The girls are asleep now, and the race is still too close to call, but I assume when we get up tomorrow (hopefully not in the middle of the night) we'll know who who won. I hope everyone got out to vote today! As you can see by her sticker, Zoe did.

Riding Together for the First Time

Today my bike was finally fixed, so I picked it up from the shop before picking Zoe up from Science Club. When she saw my bike she was very excited to go for a ride. It was overcast all day, but the weather held out and it was a beautiful evening, so we rushed home, she finished all her homework, and I loaded her bike onto the car. I packed a bag with some water and a couple snacks and we made our way to Lorimer Park. Before we took off down the trail, I wanted to take a selfie, but I was so excited that I forgot my helmet, so there are two selfies. As soon as I finished the picture she took off down the path. Fortunately I was able to catch up, phone in hand, to take a few pictures as we cruised down the trail. I am a mostly competent bike rider, but trying to pay attention to her, and the trail, and keep myself upright while holding my phone was tricky. So, I decided to take some video where, for the most part, I could rest my hand on the handlebars. She is so good a...

Baby Shower

Today the family was headed to George and Amanda's baby shower. Before we even got ready, I was playing with Zoe in bed. She was just sitting on my stomach, staring at her feet and drooling. Here are a few pictures. After play time, we had to get ready to head out. Zoe wore a nice dress, even if it was a little big on her. I took a picture of her in it before we left, then a bunch more of her while we were outside. Take a look and Zoe and Cheryl together. They're so cute! Those two are so gorgeous on their own that they become simply stunning when put together. I just can't get enough. Anyway, if you take a look at all of these, and more, in Zoe's set on Flickr, you can see all of the detail in the drool. It's really quite amazing.
