I had a chance to read to Zoe today, even if she wasn't entirely cooperative the whole time. She doesn't like sitting still with books right now, so as I'm reading, she's trying to roll over in my lap. We did make it all the way through The Lorax, whether she liked it or not.
My hope is that as she gets older, she enjoys being read to more and more. It is one of the ways I most like to spend time with her. After our book, Cheryl wanted to feed her some solids. She was great at setting an example to Zoe as to how you should open your mouth when someone else is feeding you.
And today, for the first time ever, Zoe put her foot right in her mouth. I didn't catch it the very first time when she did it this morning, but later today, she seemed perfectly content to keep her toes in her mouth while I took some pictures.
Now we have to be careful where she puts her feet, since they'll most likely be going into her mouth on a regular basis. As always, Zoe's set on Flickr has all of these, and more.
