Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

Yesterday I took a half day and Zoe, Cheryl and I went down to 69th Street to the Tower Theater to see Muno, Toodee and the rest of the Gabba gang live, on stage. Having seen Zoe's reaction to the stage show at Sesame Place, I was fairly certain that she would enjoy the show, which she did. It was difficult to get any good pictures inside the theater, but here are a few.

That last picture is Zoe getting the wiggles out with the rest of the folks on stage. Sadly, I know that I enjoyed seeing Biz Markie much more than she did, but she did seem to beat box a little bit. You can see more pictures, even though they are pretty low quality, in the Gabba set on Flickr.

Before I go, there was a video of Zoe dancing at Sesame Place that I just now posted. Take a look at this and tell me if she's not destined to bust a move.

Okay, so maybe she's not really a dancer, since I am pretty sure she stole every one of my moves, but that is pretty awesome.

Election Day

When Zoe was born, Barack Obama was the president. Today the country is voting to determine who will be president for the next four years. It will still be a long time before Zoe gets to cast her own vote, but when Cheryl got home today, the two of them went around the corner to our voting center and did their civic duty. Cheryl took a couple of pictures. The girls are asleep now, and the race is still too close to call, but I assume when we get up tomorrow (hopefully not in the middle of the night) we'll know who who won. I hope everyone got out to vote today! As you can see by her sticker, Zoe did.

Riding Together for the First Time

Today my bike was finally fixed, so I picked it up from the shop before picking Zoe up from Science Club. When she saw my bike she was very excited to go for a ride. It was overcast all day, but the weather held out and it was a beautiful evening, so we rushed home, she finished all her homework, and I loaded her bike onto the car. I packed a bag with some water and a couple snacks and we made our way to Lorimer Park. Before we took off down the trail, I wanted to take a selfie, but I was so excited that I forgot my helmet, so there are two selfies. As soon as I finished the picture she took off down the path. Fortunately I was able to catch up, phone in hand, to take a few pictures as we cruised down the trail. I am a mostly competent bike rider, but trying to pay attention to her, and the trail, and keep myself upright while holding my phone was tricky. So, I decided to take some video where, for the most part, I could rest my hand on the handlebars. She is so good a...

Baby Shower

Today the family was headed to George and Amanda's baby shower. Before we even got ready, I was playing with Zoe in bed. She was just sitting on my stomach, staring at her feet and drooling. Here are a few pictures. After play time, we had to get ready to head out. Zoe wore a nice dress, even if it was a little big on her. I took a picture of her in it before we left, then a bunch more of her while we were outside. Take a look and Zoe and Cheryl together. They're so cute! Those two are so gorgeous on their own that they become simply stunning when put together. I just can't get enough. Anyway, if you take a look at all of these, and more, in Zoe's set on Flickr, you can see all of the detail in the drool. It's really quite amazing.
